Abstract

“The Making of LUX* Island Resorts” explains how to create a true hospitality brand for the new luxury consumer based on the case of rebranding of Naiade Resorts.

In January 2011, Luxury Branding was appointed as the agency responsible for the rebranding of Naiade Resorts a company that owns and operates nine properties located in the Indian Ocean islands of Maurtius, La Réunion and The Maldives.

In this multimedia presentation, Piers Schmidt will lift the lid off the process that lay behind the inside-out, bottom-up reconceptualisation of Naiade Resorts and its rebirth Phoenix-like as LUX* Island Resorts. Piers will chart the year-long process commencing with a comprehensive Visioning exercise, the development of ‘Island Light’ a proprietary resort concept rooted in software rather than hardware, installing a World Class service philosophy and practices as well as creating and launching the mould-breaking LUX* brand.
